Band of the Day iOS app now available on web and Chrome Web Store

Since launching in the Apple App Store in September 2011, Band of the Day has become one of the premier music discovery apps on iOS devices, with over 2.8 million worldwide downloads. Now, the award-winning app (App of the Year 2011 Runner Up in the Apple AppStore), developed by 955 Dreams, is available on the web and as a Chrome Web Store app.

Within the first week of launching, thousands of users have already installed the Band of the Day web app, resulting in the app rising to the top of the Trending section of the Music & Radio category in the Chrome Web Store. Like the mobile app, its website features an elegant design that showcases one artist a day, with an expertly-picked collection of full-play songs, videos, and a preview of the in-app editorial review.

Along with discovering a new band every day, users can also explore all of the week's featured bands, complete with free full-play songs, and can see which songs, videos, and bands are trending based on ratings from app users. Completely unique to the web version is Band of the Day Radio, which provides a seamless stream of the top user-rated songs from a wide variety of genres.
